Dive into the heart of Reef Point
Season 8 opened hostilities on July 23rd, bringing with it a brand-new map that redefines the rules of engagement: Reef Point.
Set foot on Elara, the ancestral homeland of the Atlanteans, now torn apart by war. Three factions, one single objective, and a battlefield designed to reward strategy just as much as reflexes.
🏝️ Elara, a paradise soaked in fire and blood
Elara is a lush planet, the original birthplace of the Atlantean people. But behind this postcard scenery now lies a full-fledged warzone. At the center of this besieged planet stands Reef Point, the Atlanteans' historic headquarters, the objective everyone wants to seize.

🎯 Reef Point, a map where the environment drives the strategy
Reef Point hides an architecture designed down to the smallest detail to turn every match into a genuine tactical puzzle. The Atlantean headquarters is built around a central control point, and it's precisely the way you reach it that gives this new map its depth.
The 3 bridge-gates: the key to movement
The centerpiece of Reef Point's level design is its three bridge-gates, capable of literally reshaping the battlefield mid-match:
-
Open gates 🔓: ground-floor passage is clear, but any access at height becomes impossible.
-
Closed gates 🔐: the ground floor gets blocked off, but a new passage opens up at height.
In other words, there's no "neutral" configuration: every state of the bridge-gates favors a different playstyle, opening certain angles while closing off others.
Consoles, the backbone of tactical warfare
These bridge-gates don't activate on their own: two consoles located around the map let you control them remotely. This means a good part of the game unfolds before direct engagement even happens, who's going to secure a console, and when should the gate configuration be changed.

🎮 Game modes available on Reef Point
Reef Point isn't limited to a single mode: from its launch on July 23rd, the map enters the rotation of several game modes, and continues to appear at different points throughout the season.
Domination
From launch, capture and defend the control point located at the center of the map. Controlling this point isn't enough, you also need to lock down the routes leading to it, anticipate a counterattack from above or at ground level, and coordinate with your team to cover every possible approach. This is exactly where the bridge-gates come into their own.
Team Gun Game
Reef Point also joins the Team Gun Game rotation starting July 23rd. Here, the bridge-gates take on a different role: rather than protecting a fixed objective, they become a tool for controlling the pace of engagements, cutting off enemy rotation lines, or securing high-ground angles to gain the upper hand in gunfights.
HARDPOINT
Starting in September, Reef Point enters the Hardpoint rotation. The logic of holding a moving zone pairs naturally with managing the bridge-gates: anticipating where the hardpoint will shift next and adjusting the gate configuration accordingly becomes a new tactical lever.
TEAM DEATHMATCH
Finally, starting in October, Reef Point joins the Team Deathmatch rotation. With no objective to capture, the focus shifts entirely to territorial control: teams that handle the consoles best can steer fights toward zones that favor them and limit the enemy's counterattack angles.
