SEASON 8 IS OUT! Patch note 1.8.0

Written by EVA Team | 23/00/26

Welcome to ELARA, ancestral homeland of the Atlantes, now caught in the fires of war.

On this besieged planet, three factions clash over a single objective: Reef Point.

  •  🔱 The Atlantes. This is their home, and they'll defend it to the last breath. Fierce protectors of their native land, they won't let anyone take Reef Point without a fight.

  • ⚔️ The Earth Coalition (Bounty Hunter Ranger & Explorer Tide Walker). Arrived from Earth with one goal: invade, conquer, settle in. Reef Point, headquarters of the Atlantes, is their number one target.

  • 🗺️ The Mercenaries (Myst Guerilla & Bounty Hunter Compass). They only came for the riches. But on Elara, there are no bystanders left: the war has caught up with them, and it's time to pick a side.

Three factions. One planet. One battlefield. Choose your side, head to Reef Point. The war begins July 23.

New features

  • New map - Reef Point

The Atlante headquarters on the lush planet Elara is under siege! In Domination mode, capture and defend the point at the center of the map. Communication with your teammates will be key: control the bridge-doors to open or block access to different areas of the map and gain the upper hand over the opposing team.

  • New item - Med Pack

The Med Pack quickly restores the player's health. Essential for players fighting at the heart of the action, it allows them to recover quickly after a duel and get back into the fight before the enemy expects it. Warning: taking damage while using the Med Pack interrupts its effect!

Health points recovered Duration (sec) Delay before activation (sec) Cooldown (sec)
100 1 Immediate 45

  • New item - Echo

The Echo allows the player to create a duplicate of themselves to deceive the opposing team. The clone mimics the user's movements and moves forward in a straight line until it hits an obstacle. It can distract opponents and create opportunities to catch them off guard. As a strategic tool, only one Echo per team is allowed.

Health points Duration (sec) Delay before activation (sec) Cooldown (sec) Movement Speed (km/h)
60 10 Immediate 45 5

  • New game mode - Gun Game

Test your skills in Gun Game, solo or as a team: master every weapon to claim victory. Everyone starts with the same weapon, and each kill moves you on to the next one. The first player to land a kill with every weapon wins the match!

  • Solo Gun Game is available on Bastion.

  • Team Gun Game is available on Reef Point, Atlantis, Cérès and The Cliff.

  • Game Mode Updates

➡️ Team Deathmatch and Hardpoint Available on New Maps

Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, and Gun Game are coming to additional maps throughout Season 8!

Releases calendar

  • Team Deathmatch Spawn Update

Random spawns in Team Deathmatch have been replaced with fixed team spawn locations on opposite sides of the map, making it easier for players to orient themselves and reducing spawn kills.

This change has been implemented on Artefact, Atlantis, Ceres, Helios Station, Polaris, and The Cliff.

➡️ Objective Captures Now Contribute to Score in Domination and Hardpoint

To better reflect every player's contribution during a match, capturing objectives is now included in the score calculation for Domination and Hardpoint.

  • Feedback When the Player Cannot Shoot

When part of a player's body intersects with the environment, shooting is disabled. To make this clearer, the ammo counter now turns red whenever you are inside the environment and unable to fire.

Upcoming feature: Spray patterns

Today, bullet spread is random within a radius specific to each weapon. To reduce this randomness, improve shot predictability, and allow more experienced players to achieve greater consistency, we are working on introducing spray patterns.

A spray pattern is the trajectory formed by the successive bullets fired by a weapon. By introducing spray patterns to EVA Battle Arena, we aim to replace purely random bullet spread with a unique firing behavior for each weapon that players can learn, anticipate, and control more effectively. Our goal is to strike a balance for players of all skill levels: aiming will not be more difficult than it is today for players who don't learn the patterns, while those who do master them will benefit from a meaningful increase in accuracy.
